Me and My Sister
Please help me congratulate Troy! His story is inspiring and heartwarming. The true meaning of the sibling bond. “ My twin sister;s brain cancer definitely impacted my life. Before she was diagnosed with cancer, my sister Landry was the one who helped with my schoolwork and made sure I completed my homework. She was annoying at times and I made sure she knew that by yelling at her, but I stayed on track because of her. After eighth grader things changed because that's when she was diagnosed and my academics plunged. I had never realized how much she influenced my life. I knew I needed to change, so I began to work harder in my academics throughout highschool. Landry and her situation helped me decide what kind of career I wanted and everything that has happened to her helped put me on my current path in life. “
“Having to see my sister struggle everyday made me start thinking about all the other people in the world who go through the same thing and how I could use my love of science to help. Landry’s cancer is my whole reason for choosing my career path, and it's my motivation to try to help those who struggle like her. Because Landry has made a difference in my life, I am now at the University of Toledo studying bioengineering so that I can make a difference in the lives of others.” Troy we can't wait to see what you become!
