Creating Moments of Joy

We have been quiet about our last project because we wanted it fully completed before we shared the exciting news! This project, at St. John Westshore Hospital's pediatric unit, took 18 months to fully complete and is, by far, our largest one yet. We were able to tour the floor recently and could not have been more pleased with the results! We wanted the focus to be on creating a more comforting space for the patients and the parents, and it was a huge success. YOUR donation did this. YOUR donation made patients and their parent's stay at the hospital more enjoyable. 

 

We took the ENTIRE floor, including the procedure and treatment rooms, from drab white stark walls to soft comforting tones throughout! Provided Cloud Light covers for the bays in the GI procedure unit and decorative ceiling tiles in the procedure room and treatment rooms... Provided a phone charging locker, complete with a UV light to sanitize as it charges....A new chair in the treatment room that allows a parent to hold their child or remain in the room comfortably with a child during treatment...Updated the communication boards in all the rooms in the unit to allow for better nurse/patient communication.
